About Me
Hi, I’m Miriam!
Late 30’s, married and l live with my husband and dog in a small village surrounded by nature and farmlands.
We bought our first house in december of 2020 and we’re still making it our own. I believe a stylish and cozy home doesn’t have to be super expensive for it to make it feel like a true home, instead of just a house.
hazelnut coffee, animals and plants are some of my favorite things
My Story
It all started in that small apartment where I learned how to organize out of necessity. Every nook and cranny was filled with items because I wanted to make my little apartment feel personal. But instead of making it feel like home, it felt cramped, chaotic, nothing matched and I realized we had more stuff than we needed, or had the space for.
So when we moved to our family home in 2020, we decided to do things differently. We started to organize, donate or throw away items we hadn’t used in over a year and before we buy anything, we ask ourselves where to put it and if it matches the overall aesthetic of our home. So far, so good!
Facts about me
- According to my family and friends I have ADHD and all the unfinished projects to prove it. I try to keep my chaos under control with organization.
- I’m a coffee addict. I also love plants, animals, soup and moving furniture around, preferably at 3AM for no apparent reason.
- I love finding cozy styles on a budget and I’m a fan of cottage style looks. Just because it looks expensive, doesn’t mean it has to be expensive!
- I used to be a hoarder. Clothing, items, that box of old Nokia phone wires. Now, I purge my closet on a regular basis. I believe that the more you hold on to, the less space there is to attract new things in your life.
